Press Release From Conservatives for Steve Christopher
As of today, March 12, 2010, Steve Christopher has given his attorney, David Langdon of
A fair and equitable agreement could not be reached with the Secretary of State’s Office. Steve Christopher has authorized Langdon to proceed with court action to secure his rightful position on the May Republican primary ballot. Due to the extremely restrictive time restraints regarding election laws, Christopher has no further time to wait for a resolution. Langdon has filed a complaint for writ of mandamus with the Ohio Supreme Court on Christopher’s behalf.
At this time we have several pieces of evidence that we are able to release to the press upon request. If a copy of these documents is requested, please use the email address shown below for the request. We have an Excel spreadsheet documenting the candidate’s submitted quantity of petitions that was created by the Secretary of State’s office and distributed by that office to the 88 Ohio county Board of Elections offices. We also have an Excel spreadsheet that contains a breakdown by county of the copied petitions that the campaign has in its possession. This document illustrates the number of petitions collected and the counties in which they were obtained. If anyone would like to see the actual petitions filed by Christopher with the Secretary of State’s office, these are available for viewing at www.SteveChristopher.org. One of the six .PDF petition files is not on the website due to technical problems but should be available shortly.
